The Beginning
From the same team behind Fable comes hăo, a modern Chinese dining destination where familiar flavors are reimagined with contemporary artistry. The name hăo means "good" in Chinese, reflecting a philosophy of honest flavors, masterful execution, and quiet confidence.
Located along Rizal Drive in Forbes Town, BGC, hăo opened its doors with a deceptively straightforward menu. What sets it apart is a dedication to turning beloved Chinese dishes into works of contemporary art, elevating the dining experience without losing the comfort of tradition.
The concept is built around duality: hăo (the good) serves modern Chinese cuisine and dim sum downstairs, while huài (the bad) transforms into a cocktail bar and lounge upstairs, where good conversations turn into bold decisions. Together, they are one unforgettable experience.
The Space
The interiors of hăo were conceived by world-renowned Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue, whose vision transforms the restaurant into a feast for the eyes before the first dish arrives.
The exterior features a rich, burgundy-red finish layered with urban Chinese elements and pop culture references artistically graffitied across its walls. Inside, red velvet booths and black marble tables create a space that feels both elevated and effortless.
Muted peach blossoms and plum blossoms adorn the walls, anchored by brown shelves lined with traditional Chinese tea sets. Every detail, from the gorgeous stoneware to the perfectly brewed tea service, is designed to be a feast for the senses.
